Seaview's Mission & Vision
The mission of the church of Jesus Christ has been defined in many ways. Most simply put, Jesus tells his disciples in John's gospel "Just as the Father sent me, I send you." (John 20:21) Our mission is to be good news to a world that has been getting quite a bit of bad news for millennia. That gets worked out in practical ways as we demonstrate God's love to others. In a very tangible way, we are Christ's hands, feet and heart. Since our beginnings in 1862, we have been part of the West New Jersey Baptist Association and the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey, a gathering of churches with an eye to doing mission together in a way that enhances our ability to reach out to our world in Christ's generous love.Loving ... The warm fellowship of Seaview reflects Jesus' prayer for the unity of his church. It is also a well from which we draw for our ministry as we reach out to our community and around the world.
