Interim Pastor
|
Interim Pastor, the Rev. Ned Flexer and his wife Karen have been members of Seaview Baptist Church for six years. Rev. Flexer is a “semi-retired” American Baptist pastor who has served churches in Phoenix, AZ, Arthur, NE, Hatboro, PA, Colorado Springs, CO, Philadelphia, PA and Glenside, PA. He has also served on the staff of the Philadelphia Baptist Association, and the American Baptist Churches of the Rocky Mountain Region. Rev. Flexer was the Interim Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Red Bank, NJ in 2005-06. He and Karen currently serve part-time on the staff of the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey. They have led the DivorceCare Support Group at Seaview Baptist for the past six years.
The Flexers has three children and eight grand-children living in Pennsylvania and Florida. They moved to Somers Point, NJ in 2002 after retiring from thirty-six years of full-time Christian Ministry. They are excited to be a part of the ministry of this great church while the Pulpit Search Committee seeks a full time pastor. |

Organist
|
Paula Price Dollarhide, our church organist, ,joined the staff
of Seaview in January of 1999. Paula was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma
and was educated at the University of Oklahoma, where she received
the degrees of Bachelor of Music in Organ and Masters of Music
Education. Her organ study has been with Mildred Andrews Boggess,
Charles Benbow, and Dr. Gerald Frank. She has done post-Masters
work at Oklahoma State University in harpsichord and organ, and
has been a frequent recitalist. Paula just recently completed
a Masters degree in Instructional Technology at Richard Stockton
College where she is employed
as an Academic Advisor in the Center for Academic Advising. |

Prior to coming to Seaview, Paula was Program Director and Music
Director for KOSU-FM, a National Public Radio affiliate in Stillwater,
OK. She hosted a live classical call-in program "Classics on Demand,"
created a weekly program "The Best of Broadway" and hosted "Intermission,"
a program in which she interviewed major personalities in the arts
world. |

Choir Director
|
Linda
L. Wheatley, director of the Chancel, Cherub and Believers Choirs
has been at Seaview since October 1996. Originally from Pennsauken,
New Jersey, Linda holds Bachelors Degrees from Bloomsburg University
in Pennsylvania and The King's College in New York.
She was formerly choir director at
the East Dover Baptist in Toms River NJ and the First Baptist church
in Glens Falls, NY and has been a guest conductor for the Annual
Youth Choir Festival in Ocean Grove, NJ. Linda also uses her own
voice having sung with the Ocean County College Chorus, the Master
Singers of Glens Falls and at the Lake George Opera Festival. |

| In addition
to vocal music Linda is an accomplished flute player having played
with the Ocean County College Band and the Glens Falls Symphony.
She also is the co-producer, with her husband Geoffrey, of our weekly
radio program "Seaview on the Air." |
